The first episode of the anime covers the first three chapters of the manga and while I did have some complaints about some content in those chapters that had been removed it doesn’t look like the content had been removed for any reason other then just for time. The flow of the episode kept pace with what I would have expected from the manga and the humor made me laugh as i was hoping it would.
All in all I loved the first episode and am really looking forward to watching the rest of the season. I would totally recommend this anime to anyone who enjoys a good love comedy that will keep you laughing through the whole episode while tugging a little at your heart strings.
So I just watched the first episode of the new anime “Renai Boukun” or as it is known in English “Love Tyrant” and as a long time follower of the manga I wanted to give my first impressions of the first episode. First lets get some information about the plot.
The plot summary as per myanimelist.com:
A Kiss Note is a powerful notebook that makes people who have their names written together instantly fall in love if they kiss each other, regardless of any circumstances. This magical and very familiar item belongs to an angel named Guri whose job as cupid is to create couples. However, she accidentally writes down Aino Seiji, a regular high school student, and unless he kisses someone, Guri will die. She convinces Seiji to go kiss his crush, Hiyama Akane, the school’s popular girl who turns out has even stronger feelings for him, bordering on obsessive and psychotic. Eventually Akane and Seiji come together but not before Guri decides that she likes Seiji as well. What seems awesome to most guys becomes hell for Seiji who just wants a normal relationship with girls.
