When I go to a book store looking for Different kinds of books I always check out the manga section if the store even has a manga section. Barnes and Noble always tends to have a pretty good section but it is still hard to find some of the not so well known titles. When I have talked about manga here I have said that they are available on sites like Batoto but these are fan translated and therefore do not give back to the industry and not really legal. I always recommend that if you can buy any English version of a title so that we support the industry and we keep the organizations bringing manga to the States able to keep bringing more and different titles. That is why I want to take some time to introduce Some of the organizations that publish the manga that we have here in the states. The first one I want to talk about is called Seven Seas Entertainment. This organization is based here in the states and specializes in bringing many known and not so known manga titles to the states as well as publishing some English speaking manga creators. Their website gomanga.com has information about the company, their titles, and links to a website where you can read some of their titles.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes titles from many different genres including Yuri. Some titles that people might recognize due to their anime adaptions are Afro Samurai, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, D-Fragments, and Dance of the Vampire Bund. They also have newer titles that don’t have an anime yet like Monster Musume. With the amount of titles that they have and are working on getting it is hard to not find something that you will enjoy. Most of these titles can be bought on Amazon or in book stores. I normally buy titles through amazon due to the price drops that amazon normally has on manga. I currently own quite a few of titles from Seven Seas Entertainment and am looking forward to getting more. Check out their site through the links above and see what titles they offer then buy the ones you enjoy and want to read.
